Description

Plan and direct all system development activities for the Planning & Technology Division. Manage application support and programming staff. Identify user requirements, determining appropriate business solutions. Insure timely implementation, support, and user training of all applications.

Assist in developing and maintaining the division's three year strategic plan, identifying areas where custom or package applications can be applied to provide business value. Provide efficient and secure computer applications and services to internal and external users/agencies. Identify, develop, and initiate training activities for the Planning & Technology staff according to budget.

Experience/Skills

Minimum of 8 years experience in custom development or application selection and implementation, 3 years in a project management role

Ability to manage a technical staff, set priorities, and manage complex projects
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to design application solutions to business problems
Knowledge of project management tools such as Microsoft Project
Use and knowledge of methodologies related to custom development or software selection
B.S. a must!
