System Engineer - Tivoli - Sybase - Oracle - DB2 - Informix - Exchange - SQL - Lotus Notes - Domino

If you are a System Engineer with Tivoli and Sybase experience, please read on!

* This is a Part Time position. Approximately 24 hours a week *

What you need for this position:
Top Secret Clearance with SCI and Full Scale Polygraph. This is REQUIRED, NO EXCEPTIONS!
Practical experience operating and maintaining IBM Tivoli Storage Manager in a production environment
Experience in project management
Experience in data center relocation consulting and services
Experience in operator training
Experience in configuration planning
Experience with Tivoli Data Protection agents to include Sybase, Oracle, DB2, Informix, Exchange, SQL, and Notes Domino

A bonus if you have:
Extensive knowledge of theories, principles, and practices in one or more of the technical or engineering fields, to include (but not limited to): Computer engineering, electrical engineering, information technology, mathematics, and computer science.
Knowledge of Sun Operating system
Detailed knowledge of the project life cycle and acquisition process. Working knowledge of current project management models.
Advanced knowledge of the phases of the project cycle (eg Research & Development, Operations) and different project cycle theories and practices (eg cyclic development, incremental development, rapid prototyping).
Knowledge of the Intelligence Community.

What you'll be doing:
Applying the concept of operations set of disciplines for the planning, analysis, design and construction of information systems across a major sector of the organization.
Develop analytical and computational techniques and methodology for problem solutions.
Performs strategic systems planning and business information planning for specific projects.
Performs process and Datamodelling in support of the planning and analysis efforts using both manual and automated tools.
Applying reverse engineering and re-engineering disciplines to develop strategic and planning documents.
Applying business process improvement practices to re-engineer methodologies/principles and business process modernization projects.
Applying, as appropriate, activity and Datamodelling, transaction flow analysis, internal control and risk analysis and modern business methods and performance measurement techniques.
Assist in establishing standards for information systems procedures.
Develop and apply organization-wide information models for use in designing and building integrated, shared software and database management systems.
Construct sound, logical business improvement opportunities consistent with the CIM guiding principles, cost savings, and open system architecture objectives.
