System Engineer (Tivoli)
Annapolis Junction, MD

This position will work as a Systems Manager supporting a program with DHS/TSA working collaboratively to create, maintain and execute software provisioning and patch management policies for a large scale IT Operations and Management (O&M) Enterprise. Must be a Tivoli Provisioning Specialist.

Responsibilities include:
Develop overall Software Provisioning and Patch Management Policy
Work closely with Release, Change, and Configuration Managers to ensure software version updates and patches are executed per policy
Collaborate with staff Information Security personnel to ensure all security patches are installed and up-to-date
Recommend appropriate upgrades to provisioning/patching tools
Run enterprise-wide scans on a periodic basis and deploy patches to remediate non-compliant Servers, workstations, storage devices, etc.

Requirements include:
3+ years software provisioning experience
Experience with DB2, Rational, and other Tivoli products (ITIM, TIM/TAM)
Experience with software provisioning tools including Altiris SMS, Microsoft SMS, WSUS, Shavlik
Solid Tivoli experience with configuration, deployment, management and customization of the Tivoli Provisioning Manager, to include package development
Strong workflow development, optimization, and system tuning skills
In-depth familiarity with Windows, Unix, AIX, networking, and various storage systems including SAN
Must demonstrate a sense of urgency when responding to ad hoc/emergency requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience supporting an IT Enterprise O&M effort preferred
ITIL knowledge/experience is a plus
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Must have expert level experience with Tivoli Provisioning
