Please note: These positions require an active Secret DOD clearance and US citizenship.

Multiple positions are available for engineering professionals with 5+ yrs of experience in Modeling and Simulation (M&S) of Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD). Positions range from M&S Analyst to Senior Analyst and from M&S Requirements Engineer to Senior System Engineer. Senior positions require 7-10 yrs of overall experience.

Minimum educational requirements: B.S. degree in Operations Research, Engineering, Math, or related field, M.S. in technical field preferred.

Job Rerquirements:

- Successful candidates must have understanding of Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD), modeling and simulation (M&S) of BMD-related activities, and analysis based on such M&S. Ability to set up cases for, enter input data for, execute, and extract output data from such M&S. Ability to prepare reports and effectively communicate analysis results.
- Knowledge of BMD elements (including radars, IR sensors, ground-based interceptors, and ballistic missiles and trajectories), Battle Management and Command and Control (BM/C2) systems, and communications systems;
- Familiarity with Windows NT and UNIX operating systems, together with their common tools and utilities.
- Applicant should understand OO concepts, and be able to evaluate OO design documentation.
- Applicant should be skilled at dealing with people and working within teams.

Selected individuals will support a large project located in Crystal City, VA.

Job Duties and Responsibilities may include (depending on specific position):

- Perform C2BMC-related analysis using M&S, primarily MDWAR and federated models. Assess contributions of BMD elements, BM/C2 systems, and communications systems. Compare capabilities of existing systems with those of proposed enhancements. Draw conclusions about utility of such enhancements.
- Transform an analysis or testing plan into simulation requirements and review simulation designs, inputs and outputs to see if they can meet these requirements.
- Conduct engineering analyses using available system models.
- Generate detailed requirements for new models and functionality to support C2BMC development.
- Support the MDWAR team for M&S requests. The individual is expected to become knowledgeable in M&S structure & the application of MDWAR.
- Help generate detailed requirements for new models and functionality to support C2BMC development.
- Set up run areas, apply MDWAR support tools to develop scenarios, create model run areas, run those scenarios using MDWAR, and use analysis support tools to determine that the scenarios are executing correctly.
