What you need:

- Active TS/SCI w. Full Lifestyle Poly
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or similar degree
- 7+ years in a technical role on projects or programs for Government or Industry customers with: 5+ years experience as a Systems Engineer in programs that encompass system architecture, requirements analysis, process execution and evaluation.
- Experience in developing system architecture and design including: Software, Hardware, Communications, Interface requirements
- Experience in leading systems definition, trade-off and design activities.
- Experience in leading analysis of system requirements and components.
- Experience in performing system audits to ensure intended system functionality, operation and performance requirements are achieved.
- Experience with full life-cycle implementation, including requirements, design, implementation, integration, and testing
- Strong modeling and graphics skills, specifically for developing requirements and design models and visualization artifacts
- Working knowledge of applying DOORS and Visio tools to engineering tasks

*Preferred but not required:*

- Knowledge of Industry and Agency security best practices
- Experience with Use Cases and UML
- Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) concepts and usability design
- Working knowledge of DoDAF architecture


What you'll be doing:

- Providing engineering support for a high-profile task supporting core capabilities within our Agency.
- You will be part of a team with an integral role in developing and capturing requirements for next generation systems.
- Performing system- and service-level requirements management and end-to-end design documentation, including data flow diagrams, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Concepts of Operation (CONOPs), and feature documentation.
- Engineering activities also include creating data models, schemas and documentation, data model requirements and data element dictionaries.
- Support feature and capability transitioning by interacting with developers and subject matter experts to provide detailed system documentation through requirements capture and refinement, feature decomposition, design evaluation and distributed design development.
- Provide both high-level and detailed design documents in the form of system CONOPs, ICDs, data flow diagrams and system- and component-level design diagrams.
- Devising deficiency resolution techniques and recommend performance solutions by creating, documenting, and publishing XML schemas, ICDs, and Data Model Requirements.
