Description
An engineering firm is seeking a Systems/Network Administrator to monitor and maintain computer systems and network equipment used to support the corporate network. This position configures computer systems and servers to meet corporate standards; Monitors network activity and reviews server and security logs daily; Assists other IS staff in daily activities. Works under general supervision and provides guidance to network users.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manages Windows Active Directory Domain
- Manages Solaris NIS Domain
- Manages Microsoft Exchange Server
- Manages BlackBerry Server
- Maintains Symantec Anti-Virus Server/Clients
- Maintains Microsoft SUS Server
- Maintains DNS/DDNS/DHCP
- Setup and install new network equipment as needed.
- Troubleshoots/repairs network connectivity issues
- Troubleshoots/repairs hardware and software problems
- Manages network shares and user accounts in a multiplatform environment (Windows/Solaris& RedHat Linux)
- Performs other duties as required

This position requires ability to obtain Secret security clearance. US citizenship required.

Experience/Skills
4-6 years LAN/WAN exp.,3 yrs as a system/Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows (2000/XP/Windows Server)
Working knowledge of:
Deltek accounting system
SQL Server
Solaris and RedHat Linux system administration
Cisco Switches and Routers
CheckPoint Firewall
Wireless Networking and security issues
Exchange Server
Surf Control version 4.7 - 5
TCP/IP, file server applications, UNIX, Windows NT, Solaris, Internet
routing, LAN, and a variety of personal computer software incl. Windows

Other desired skills:
