Description
This position will provide the primary z/OS Systems Programming technical support for the Mainframe Platform.

Contractor should possess knowledge of z/OS System Programming, z/OS operating system and 3rd party IBM mainframe products.

Contractor will be required to maintain and provide daily technical support for a z/OS 1.7 operating system and its components running on an IBM z890 mainframe.

Qualified candidate will have a degree or equivalent job experience and 10 years of recent Mainframe MVS Systems Programmer experience.

Contractor should have experience with and be able to support products like: z/OS, JES3, Languages and Compilers, SMP/E, TCP/IP, TSO/ISPF, USS (Unix System Services), WLM (IBM Workload Manager), VTAM and other IBM and 3rd party vendor products.

Provide analysis and debugging of hardware and software problems using IPCS dump analysis.

Be able to use tools such as BMC MainView and RMF to monitor system performance.

Experience in designing and coding SAS programs to extract and analyze MVS source data (SMF, MXG) is desirable.

Provide technical support assistance for CICS/TS and DB2.

Contractor must be able to work independently and with others with minimal supervision.df-tc
