Description
On behalf of a Casino-Hotel Resort in Monticello, NY, Casino Careers Online is seeking a System Specialist.

Responsibilities include:

-The successful candidate will be the major resource of knowledge for support and training involving various computer based systems. Included are orientation and on-going training of MIS staff members

-Research, evaluate, and make recommendations regarding hardware solutions to computer systems

-Assist in planning for security and establishing backup and recovery procedures which will then be the responsibility of the user

-Maintain an inventory of all computer equipment, administer maintenance contracts, preventive maintenance, and service calls

-Responsible for emergency on-call assistance

-Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

-Minimum Associates degree with a concentration in MIS, Systems, Computer Science. Bachelors Degree Preferred

-Documentable Network Administration experience (2 years minimum)

-MCSE Certification preferred

-Must be proficient in MS Windows Server 2003, XP Desktop, MS Exchange and Outlook.

-Knowledge of MS Desktop applications including networking and troubleshooting experience is required

-MICROS Point of Sale & AS/400 proficiency is a plus !!

-Successful candidate will cross-train with Software Specialist.

-Must be able to work rotating day shift

-Must be able to work in an environment of changing priorities, posess a sense of urgency, and have a strong work ethic

-Local candidates from NY, N.E. PA, and NJ preferred

-Work experience in the gaming industry is a definite plus!
