We are currently seeking a Systems Administration Analyst to be located in San Antonio, TX at Harland Clarke's Silicon Center.


POSITION SUMMARY: Provide Tier I day-to-day support and maintenance of Harland Clarke Contact Center desktop computer hardware software and communications equipment. All technology Services personnel are responsible for delivering valued services to Harland Clarke and its customers. This is a security sensitive position.

KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: A. Perform Desktop Support 75% 1. Installs and configures workstations 2. Loads profiles 3. Replaces Headsets and Telesets 4. Provides support to CSCs for Desktop Applications 5. Keeps hardware and software inventories current 6. Supports and maintains user account information including rights security and systems groups B. Performs Server And Application Level Support 10% 1. Rotates Tapes 2. Ensures backup and recovery processes are in effect and monitored for integrity 3. Recovers files from server 4. Works with generator; HVAC; audio-visual suppliers 5. Adds/Removes associates from security system C. Performs Network Support 3% 1. Supports monitors tests and troubleshoots hardware and software problems pertaining to the local network; recommends and schedules repairs 2. Under the direction of senior personnel reboot router 3. Reroutes cables D. Performs Project Level Work 2% 1. Leads rollout of new desktop hardware 2. Assists in major projects as they relate to the Desktop E. Process & Documentation 10% 1. Provide incident and problem resolution relating to the Desktop and peripherals 2. Tracks and monitors incidents to insure a timely resolution 3. Keeps up to date with standards procedures techniques and tools 4. Implement and enforce overall system security rules on platforms. 5. Understands and supports Change Management policies 6. Respond to On Call situations All associates are responsible for using the principles of First In Service in order to continuously improve the performance products and services of Harland Clarke. This includes but is not limited to participating on improvement teams recommending and implementing improvement ideas participating in training and other activities to keep up to date on processes information etc.

EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Bachelors degree required Bachelors Degree can be waived with 2 years experience in a Systems Administration position at Harland Clarke or 3 years System Administration experience in a like Contact Center environment.

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / ABILITIES REQUIRED: Excellent coordination and interpersonal skills Basic understanding of call processing and call flows Familiar with a variety of Contact Center concepts practices and procedures. Basic understanding of PC and their operation. Areas of expertise - Windows 2000; Internet/ Intranet; Lotus Notes; MS Office

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None COMMUNICATION & CONTACTS REQUIRED: Harland Clarke Contact Center Associates and other IT Workgroup staff Contact Center Leadership DECISION MAKING: Makes decisions regarding technical problem resolution
