Description

Primary System Administration Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-          Performs workflow analysis to resolve daily operational issues and document business processes

 

-          Develops database queries to analyze issues

 

-          Performs testing for system enhancements, version upgrades and new software applications

 

-          Develops and maintains e-forms for content and style

 

-          Maintains User Group permissions and User accounts

 

-          Ensures import processes (COLD, DIP, match and merge, PS interfaces, Imaging) are functioning without issue on a daily basis

 

-          Ensures upload and download (FTP) processes with the PeopleSoft Accounts Payable system are functioning without issue on a daily basis

 

-          Ensures Web Servers and other Servers are functioning without issue on a daily basis

 

-          Enhances or develops new workflow solutions as required

 

-          Provides training and technical support to the end user community

 

-          Maintain documentation of imaging system

 

-          Customer support to create and maintain vendor accounts

 

-          Supporting desktop configuration for user access to the imaging system

 

-          Maintenance of system security and internal controls

 

-          Participation in annual disaster recovery process

 

-          staff training and support

 

-          software installation, maintenance, and upgrading

 

-          hardware installation, maintenance, and upgrading

 

-          research and troubleshooting

 

-          routine network administration and maintenance

 

-          network documentation

 

-          database supervision

 

**The Systems Administrator will also be responsible for application development support responsibilities that may also include:

  • Assisting the application development and QA teams with application builds, versioning and migration
  • Custom application installation procedure and deployment
  • Onsite application installation and configuration support


Experience/Skills

Requirements:

  • Windows 2000/2003 Server/Advanced Server administration
  • System Security
  • Microsoft IIS administration
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 administration
  • .NET application installation and configuration
  • System & application problem isolation and debugging
  • Custom application & website migration & installation
  • Production application support
  • BS in EE, CS, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Microsoft technology networking and administration experience preferred
  • Strong decision making, problem solving, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills are a must
  • MCSE certification favorable, but not required
