Duties and Responsibilities? Serve as technical lead on the implementation of GxP related systems (Drug Safety System, EDMS) ? Collaborate with the team on process improvement efforts ? Participate in and lead efforts to test, upgrade, migrate and deploy databases and applications. ? Solidify and document procedures and train support personnel. ? Provide on call support for operations staff during escalations. ? Perform capacity planning, performance tuning and application monitoring. ? Responsible for day-to-day operations of enterprise Unix and MS NOS in an Oracle and MS SQL environment.df-tc

Experience/Skills
? BS degree in Computer Science or related field ? 4 + experience as a Database Administrator, Web Application Administrator, or a related operational role in an Enterprise Computing environment. ? Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on web infrastructure administration of one of the following: web servers, LiveLink, Argus, WebLogic, Tomcat web application server, Load Balancers, Verity, or Autonomy search solutions. ? Practical experience with administration task automation in Perl, SQL and PL/SQL, JAVA, or various shell scripting languages, customized reports, and Crystal Reports. ? Practical knowledge of service monitoring tools and application tuning. ? Experience working in validated (GxP) environment is plus ? Experience with (LIMS) Laboratory Information Management Systems, (CDS) Chromatography Management Systems, (SDMS) Scientific Data Management Systems, a plus. ? Experience with bio-tech applications - MDL ISIS & IDBS ActivityBase highly desired ? Experience in designing and conducting system validations, along with strong familiarity of lab instrumentation/processes, and project management are preferred. ? Some travel may be required. ? Familiarity with regulatory guidelines (21 CFR part 11, in particular) is a plus. ? Good written and verbal communication skills. ? Excellent customer service skills
