Description
Our client is looking for a Network/System Administrator. This position is Part-Time (20 hrs) . We are looking for talented and motivated professionals to join our team. The Network/System Administrator will divide their time supporting an external client (located in the Central Jersey Area) and the our clients Internal Network Infrastructure. In general, a candidate must advise, support, monitor and troubleshoot network and systems-related issues associated to Windows 2000/Windows 2003/Windows XP infrastructure.

Experience/Skills
Specifically, a candidate will do the following: Support domain services including file, print, group policies, DNS, DHCP, etc. Support WAN connectivity. Manage messaging services (e.g. add/modify/delete mailboxes, execute mailbox quotas, etc.) Refine and execute maintenance schedules on business critical servers and services, including servers, firewalls, MS Exchange, Blackberry Server, data backup, Anti-Virus and VPN, external web servers. Establish and maintain an inventory system of the organizations computer equipment. Provide end users support for all desktop and LAN-based applications (including MS Access). Install and configure workstations, as required. Engage in researching, recommending and implementing additional solutions (i.e. video conferencing, intranet) that will improve internal operations.Required Skills: A successful candidate will have a balance of strong communication skills and proven technical ability. In general, a candidate: Must possess strong verbal and written communication Must be able to communicate with people at a variety of technical levels Must possess strong dedication to customer service and have client-focused mentality Must be able to multi-task multiple projects Must be able to complete tasks with minimal direct supervision while working in a team environmentTechnically, a successful candidate should have experience in the following areas: „ Knowledge of TCP/IP and static routing Experience in maintaining a Microsoft Windows Active Directory (including domain services, file, print, group policy, DNS, DHCP etc.) Experience in Firewall Technologies (including VPN and hosting) Understand Wi-Fi Technologies and supporting services (e.g. WEP, WPA) Ability to maintain and support Microsoft Exchange 2003, Blackberry Server and associated software (e.g. anti-spam) Ability to deploy and support managed Anti-Virus solutions Experience in configuring and deploying network switches Ability to deploy and support backup technologies Experience with supporting or maintaining SharePoint Server, a plus.Experience, Education and Training: A successful candidate will have a balance of good organizational skills and excellent communication skills with proven technical competence. In general, a successful candidate will have the following: 2 to 4 years experience in managing and maintain network and systems infrastructure CCNA or MCSE certifications, a plus.
