Description
Our Client, a manufacturer in Colorado Springs is looking for a Systems Administrator to support them for two days in August while their IT person is out of the office. Ideally, they are looking for someone who is able to support them at several times throughout the year, including a two week vacation in August/September. Responsibilities for this Systems Administrator position include: installs, maintains, and monitors the operation of all computers, printers, servers, phone system and connections to the company’s internal networks in all locations, researches, develops, and implements effective technical solutions to meet the on-going computer networking and communication needs of the company. Install and maintain various network hardware and monitors and troubleshoots network/server problems including bandwidth usage for the internet and point-to-point link to Alabama making necessary recommendations for additional resources or upgrades as needed, researches and implements security and firewall strategies, develops network, news, and host security policies and manages remote client dial-in access, installs user PCs, printers, monitors and other devices and responds to user reported PC problems, providing networking assistance to users including help with network connections and passwords, and rotates daily, weekly and monthly backups and coordinates secure storage and retrieval as required.Qualifications for this Systems Administrator position include: knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software, experience with UNIX administration (HP-UX), Windows Administration Network programming, firewalls, Microsoft Exchange, and knowledge of HP servers, Cisco products, wireless local networks, VPNs, routers and switches required. Desired, but not required, experience includes experience in C+ programming, Pro E, Goldmine, Advanceware and mobile scanners would be very helpful. MCSE and Cisco certifications are also desired. Additionally, a Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from a four-year college or university is preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training in computer science; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requirements for this Systems Administrator position include advanced PC Desktop/Workstation, intermediate Router, intermediate Firewall, intermediate Microsoft Exchange Server, and intermediate VPN (Virtual Private Networking). Additionally, Systems Administrator candidates must have the following experience: intermediate Windows Server 2003, advanced Windows XP, advanced Windows XP 2003, and intermediate UNIX.
