SUMMARY:
Monitor and maintain ALL network, sever, and appliance/application infrastructure associated with Airport Parking Access & Revenue Control Systems (PARCS).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLILITES:

Maintain control of all network security and access privileges. Will be required to setup/delete and maintain user accounts on an as-required basis.Will be required to establish and document security system protocol as it relates to network applications, file access, and log/security system reviews. This work will include adding and modifying airport clientele infrastructure, software applications, rights and privileges. Network, Hardware and application change control and management documentation.

Lead onsite troubleshooting, development and implementation of software and hardware related applications.

Manage and implement control of new projects that would require network applications and/or hardware to be configured.This may also include working with software and hardware vendors and the ultimate training of end users.


Monitor, implement and enforce Disaster Recovery Procedures. Continue to monitor ALL backup system, fail-over and recovery procedures, making sure ALL data is backed up nightly and stored according to airport policies and procedures. This will include maintaining those policies with the airport pertaining to disaster recovery.

Attend meetings requested by the customer or ACS staff, to facilitate timely and responsive operation management of all networking equipment and sub-systems.Must have the capability to take the lead in problem resolution, of any reporting or software related issues. Must maintain an accurate list of all software versions, and make them available for customer review.Demonstrate the ability to assist in the training of both the customer as well as other ACS on site technical staff. This position may be exposed to working in an outdoor environment during inclement weather.


This position will require long hours on occasion and requires On-Call after hours support availability for network related issues, 24x7.


The systems administrator will be involved in all phases of new equipment installations, upgrades and complete network support.

Implement software and application updates for both the Microsoft products and the PARCS systems applications.

Assist in desktop support when necessary and able to assist on desktop and user support issues when required.

Assist in identifying outdoor parking equipment issues when needed and provide back-up for the site supervisor and technicians as required.


Maintain and monitor all Windows 2000/2003 network server infrastructure.


QUALIFICATIONS

Certifications:
MCP and/or MCSA certification in Windows 2000/2003

Experience:
Database management (Oracle or SQL) experience is required
Experience with installing and troubleshooting Dell servers and related hardware
Experience with installing and troubleshooting appliance equipment
At least three years of Network Admin and Active Directory experience
Knowledge of Cisco switches and Routers
Knowledge of Veritas or general back up utilities a plus
Experience in managing all phases of a data center and data base management services
Experience in scripting or programming in any language will be preferred
Experience with direct Client interfacing and customer service, project management skills

Working Conditions:
Standard and non standard work hours with on call/weekend work
Office and outside (parking lot/deck) working environments
The ability to work well under deadlines supporting various user groups
