Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join our team in Plano, TX.


Job Responsibilities:

The candidate joining this team will be responsible for business analysis and requirements definition for enhancements to a large healthcare system. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with business and technical resources and should be familiar with the phases of a typical software development project (SDLC). Limited travel may be required to meet and work with clients during the lifecycle of a project.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Work as a liaison between the client and project team to gather and document system functional and non-functional requirements
  • Maintain open communications among project participants and affected parties
  • Maintain strong focus on customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional project performance and predictable, repeatable project results
  • Work through informal channels in order to obtain information
  • Work with informal work team, often consisting of Perot Systems and client blended teams
  • Assist in project definition and scoping activities
  • Conduct gap analyses to identify solutions that are cost effective and meet client requirements
  • Plan and conduct interviews with business areas (end-users and managers) and technical staff
  • Coordinate with team members for peer and client reviews of documentation
  • Support the project delivery team during design, construction and testing of the project and participate in User Acceptance Testing

    Required Skills:
  • 5 yrs IT Experience
  • Experience in business/technical/systems analysis for the development and/or maintenance of software applications, knowledge of SDLC process (5+ years)
  • Experience in gathering and documenting detailed functional requirements (5+ years)
  • Ability to recognize exceptions to documented policy and procedures
  • Working knowledge of quality assurance methods, tools, and techniques
  • Experience in business analysis for the development of new applications, system maintenance or enhancements
  • Experience in gathering and documenting detailed business/system requirements
  • Experience in creating and analyzing business process flow diagrams
  • Experience in preparing and facilitating user focus sessions
  • Experience in writing Use Cases and creating UML diagrams
  • Working knowledge of Project Management methodologies
  • Working knowledge of testing methodologies and/or experience in testing (user acceptance, system integration, interface, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and a strong client-facing presence
  • Ability to work within a team environment but with limited direct supervision
  • Intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
  • Position requires working onsite at the Plano campus, strong preference will be given to local candidates
  • Candidates must be open to moderate travel as client needs dictate

    Desired Skills:
  • Experience working with healthcare patient financial services business processes and/or applications Project Management experience
  • Strong client facing experience
  • Experience working with HL7 and HIPAA EDI messaging in health insurance industry (payers), including health plan administration, claims processing, transaction codes, etc

    Minimum Educational Requirements:
  • College degree is preferred but not required
