Position Description:

Experience Level: 4 year degree plus 5-7 years experience. Description: Acts as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements. Works with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes. Prepares specifications for system changes. May develop systems test plan components and test scripts. May act as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition/improvement to re-engineer technical processes for greater efficiencies. May provide direction and/or guidance to less experienced staff.

Description:
System Analysis bridges the Business Data Requirements to the Technical Design by clarifying the business data needs and research of the access techniques and Systems of Record to determine alternatives for meeting those needs, partnering with project design teams, Systems of Record and technical strategy teams to determine how to most efficiently access that data and support IT standards, and providing support during the development and testing project phases.


Minimum Qualifications
Ability to consult with technical architecture and/or Legacy system representatives and business SMEs.
Knowledge of services oriented architecture
Ability to write systems level use cases
Ability to write operation summaries (user stories)
Cursory knowledge of Object Oriented concepts
Knowledge of service performance and efficiency considerations
Strong communication skills
clear and effective interpersonal communication, whether written, verbal, or visual, from writing reports to face-to-face conversations, to presentations in front of groups;
listening (accepting opinions and ideas from other project team members),
group facilitation or formal technical reviews (FTR) skills:
setting an agenda
leading discussions
involving all parties in the discussion
summarizing ideas
keeping discussions on the agenda

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of specific systems project portfolio
Knowledge of limitations of specific existing systems or vendor supplied services
