Description
Provides laboratory information systems application and business analytical support. Incumbent has a thorough knowledge of Cyberlab Lab Information system. Responsible for understanding of applications and interfaces affecting LIS, including but not limited to order interface, result interface and billing interface. Provides LIS database expertise and supports and maintains LIS servers. Must be able to work effectively with physicians, staff and management in determining the most effective and efficient means of utilizing the computer system.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred. Three years experience in system management of a lab information system. Knowledge of Transact SQL query language preferred. Demonstrated experience in project management and in systems or workflow analysis and documentation. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team and with physicians, users, management and staff. Ability to handle challenging and difficult users.

Understands all interfaces affecting LIS applications, monitors interfaces and resolves errors. Perform upgrades and maintain LIS servers. Understands LIS table structure, menu structure and other configurable components. Works with managers in determining and LIS reporting needs and developing LIS reports. Works with users in researching errors and problems on the system. He or she will then work with the software vendor in resolving the issue. Works with assigned programming staff to insure the quality and timeliness of programming changes. Works with the application vendor to insure adherence to documentation, programming and testing standards.
