Systems Application Engineer

As an automation engineer working within the QA group, you will focus on testing cutting edge Internet functionality, content and information. As an automation engineer you will be responsible for coding scripts that automate manual test cases as well as executing those scripts in an effort to test the functionality of internet applications. In this role you will be using Segue Silktest to automate manual test cases that reside in Mercury TestDirector. You will work within an established test automation framework that relies heavily on common reusable methods and functions that provide the basis for effective automation results. General activities include: design and development of automated test cases for new projects and change controls, documentation of test cases, setup and maintenance of test data, support for other test execution engineers. You will also work closely with leads and analysts from other QA business oriented groups when necessary to manage your testing effort.

This position requires at least 2-4 years of development experience utilizing a systems development lifecycle as well as a background in testing. Experience testing internet-based applications is required as is experience with Segue Silktest or another automation tool. Exposure to a test management tool like Mercury TestDirector is a plus. Exposure to internet technologies such as HTML, Jsp, Java and understanding of internet architectural components is a plus. Basic Unix experience is a plus.

The successful candidate should have strong analytical skills and be able to successfully multi task in an interrupt driven environment. In addition, this candidate must have demonstrated leadership, communication and documentation skills with the ability to work with several diverse groups of people in a collaborative environment.df-tc
