Position Summary:The primary function of this position is to participate in the implementation of a strategic enterprise architecture . This includes:?Technical leadership of large-scale, business-critical projects.?Participation in the creation of standards, best practices, and principles on the proper use and deployment of technology. ?Guiding application development efforts toward sound design in alignment with a cohesive technical reference architecture. ?Assisting in technology governance through compliance reviews of projects.?Assessing the evolution of the enterprise architecture with both a business and technology focus.*Provides technical leadership in the construction, deployment, and ongoing operation of large-scale, business-critical enterprise applications. Works with application and system project teams according to a ?consulting" engagement model.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field from four-year college or university required; Master?s preferred.?5 years proven experience leading projects with cross-functional, matrixed staff (including vendors)?5 ? 10 years proven experience with systems analysis/design using Object-Oriented techniques and design patterns?Participation in at least 2 product/technology evaluations; leadership of evaluation preferred.?Proven architecture background in both applications and infrastructure required; applications, data, security, and infrastructure ideal?5 years experience in Java/J2EE with in-depth knowledge of one or more of the major application server and Web server platforms ?10 years experience in middleware development (messaging, application servers, enterprise service bus, enterprise application integration)?Background implementing Service Oriented Architecture?Experience in Enterprise Application Integration and Enteprise Service Buses?Experience with TIBCO products is preferred?Other applicable technical expertise: DB2/Oracle database design and programming, Web Services design and programming (SOAP, UDDI, XML, WSDL, and related W3C and/or OASIS standards)?Knowledge of other technologies (C/C++, .NET, AS/400) helpfulTechnical Requirements:Experience in building and maintaining large-scale, customer-facing enterprise applications is key; experience with retail, inventory management, and financial applications is preferred? Ability to define problems, analyze relevant data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
