Description

Exciting opportunity for a Database Engineering Manager with a Fortune Clients data center in Fulsom, CA.
In this position, you will be responsible for managing a team of highly skilled database and infrastructure engineers in managing several 24x7 manufacturing environments. This includes mission critical/important application support covering server/client, network infrastructure, backup and restore, and various enterprise applications, data/application hosting and sustaining/support. As the manager of this technical support group, you will be representing a global support organization to multiple geographically dispersed stakeholders, providing tactical operational support, partnering customers on expectations and managing the overall database and infrastructure environment. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Managing database design to ensure robust healthy systems that meet the customer expectations and planning for future capacity

Managing the environment and delivering projects on schedule, while simultaneously coordinating the same resources doing tactical repairs and task force support as well as training, career development, headcount forecasting/reporting, and budgeting/expense control

Job Description:

Responsible for supervision/management of an IT function/site/corporate operation. Day-to-day functional management of the organization, to include performance management, training/developing, forecasting/reporting, and budgeting/expense control. Set future direction and plans. Ensures operation meets basic user, headcount, and quality guidelines. Represent operation. Provide training program. Provide day-to-day operational reporting/tracking indicators. Requires advanced knowledge of a highly technical or professional field. Applies advanced principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts.

Qualifications

You must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline. Additional qualifications include:

Demonstrated management and leadership skills

Good understanding of Intel? architecture, infrastructure and database management

Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills and automation/TMG business acumen

Experience in managing and organizing workloads for a technically diverse team of professionals

Ability to communicate broadly in cross-group environment to build trust and exhibit technical and/or business knowledge to gain respect and commitments

Demonstrated ability to challenge conventional thinking and develop unique solutions to difficult problems.

Demonstrated strategic planning and business development skills

More than five years of management experience
