Position will be part of a team responsible for the technical aspects of development and subsequent support of the Global War on Terror (GWOT) which is being developed in the Technology Services

Organization-Corporate Services, Indianapolis (TSO-CS). The Warfighter Support Office will focus on urgent Department of Defense enterprise-level business capabilities in order to expedite support to the Warfighter in the near term via DoD-wide systems, capabilities, and process improvements. WSO will expedite response to the critical few. The system's backbone is based on a heavy Oracle driven design which uses PL/SQL to underpin much of the application. Technologies employed to create the system include Oracle designer and Oracle Developer Suite, and Java Frameworks and toolsets. Description of role: The developer will be involved in systems development and maintenance, which includes: requirements gathering, system analysis and design, documentation, coding, testing, implementation, assisting with the distribution and installation of any client-resident executables and programs, monitoring production performance and issues for the Web interface portion of the project. This includes, acting as point-of-contact for customers and the Project Management Office (PMO) and providing training and technical support to end users and other developers.
Minimum Skill set required: Developer (programmer) with at least 5 years of proven experience in the following: Java Frameworks (Struts 2, Hibernate or Spring), ACEGI, and DisplayTag. Additional skills, not required, but beneficial are Javascript, AJAX, Dojo, FreeMarker, and PL/SQL. Travel Requirements: Candidate may be required to travel to other DFAS sites for training and/or GWOT meetings. Travel may be up to 25% for the first 6 months of hire and occasionally thereafter.df-tc
