Responsibilities: Manage and maintain architecture project plan
  • Follow standard project practices in terms of status reporting, risk management, issue tracking, and work plan management.
  • Deliver the required technical product(s) for each project, phase ensuring quality is planned and achieved
  • Work with project management team to establish staffing needs, priorities and hiring.
  • Manage client risks and issues including escalation topics
  • Weekly Architecture status reporting to the project management team
  • Provide leadership and management of overall project architecture solution including infrastructure architecture, application architecture, and security architecture, and integration architecture
  • Manage and set customer expectations
  • Mentoring and Leading of the architecture team
    Must have requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ Implementation experience in large-scale project teams (50+ people) across geographical disperse locations
  • 5 + years experience in the design and implementation of architectures solutions utilizing the J2EE framework using IBM WebSphere suite of products
  • 2+ years of experience delivering projects using RUP methodology utilizing IBM's Rational tool set
  • Strong organizational capabilities and management of architecture teams (5-10 people)
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Project
  • Strategic and project planning capabilities
  • Pragmatic, self-directed and self-disciplined
  • Ability to delegate, motivate and mentor
  • External client management / engagement experience
  • Problem Solver
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Some travel required (25%)
    Nice to have:
  • Healthcare or Medicaid industry experience
  • PMI certified
