We have an immediate need for a Systems Engineer - Exchange

JOB DESCRIPTION
This position, self-directed, leads and coordinates the design, development, implementation and optimization of electronic mail systems to support business needs. Researches, analyzes, recommends and implements new electronic mail technologies, standards, processes, tools and techniques. Coaches and provides technical leadership to others on electronic mail design, sizing, and the application of new technologies. Contributes the electronic mail portion of information technology plans based on an understanding of the customers organizational strategic direction, technical context and business needs. Provides technical support for initiatives through participation in proposals and studies. Defines project scope, plans and deliverables, including cost projections, for electronic mail maintenance and improvement efforts required to maintain an optimized environment. Identifies, develops, updates and enforces electronic mail standards and procedures. Monitors and ensures resolution of electronic mail performance issues. Interfaces with others on system infrastructure problems, technical concerns, and financial issues. Researches, evaluates and stays current on emerging electronic mail related tools, techniques and technologies, creating plans to bring those to the organization, when warranted.

- Expert in the identification and recommendation of Microsoft Exchange technologies and process standards.
- Experienced with electronic mail antivirus/antispam, archiving, and legal discovery technologies.
- Expert in the requirements definition, design, testing and analysis of electronic mail technologies.
- Expert problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to use metrics to improve processes.
- Working knowledge of project management, and a demonstrated ability to successfully plan and manage projects.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver presentations as a technical expert
- Experienced in coaching and mentoring of other less-advanced personnel in both the process and technical aspects of electronic mail systems.
- Demonstrated a high-level of business understanding, and ability to focus efforts on technical initiatives that can provide the most benefit.
- Experienced in working with an international team.
- Expert written and oral communication skills.
