Systems Engineer/Exchange

Manage a 21 server (IBM X360/IBM X345) Exchange 2003 lab environment to ensure the Exchange lab mimics production. Manage external storage (EMC Clarion) associated with Exchange 2003 lab environment.

Position Duties:

• Certify and create detailed documentation associated with O/S and Exchange patches to be released to production operations support group.
• Complete customer service tickets (GIRS) as required. Lab Change Control, maintain availability and scheduling for product testing and software life cycle management.
• Facilities & Lab asset management: Maintain Software BOM for Exchange Production Servers.
• Develop and apply BMR (Bare Metal Recovery) server recovery processes for Exchange platform.
• Ability to lead projects like major OS patch levels, BIOS/Firmware upgrades, and Ancillary applications. Schedule and coordinate projects within Data Center change control systems.
• Provide additional technical support to Level 1-3 System Admins supporting 93 production Exchange Servers and 21 Lab Servers.
• 180,000 mailboxes.

Skills Required:  
Primary Skills Required:

• Complete customer service tickets (GIRS) as required. Lead and/or participate in Security Compliance Audit activity.
• Document production processes for service provider.
• Level 3 production support for Exchange.
• Complete as need SCRP's, for Exchange, and Change Control. Perform standard Exchange & O/S operational duties in the lab.
• Maintain Hardware BOM for Exchange Production Servers.
• Consult on SLA2/SRDF implementation from host perspective.
• Develop and maintain scorecards for OS patching levels, BIOS/Firmware, HBA's/WWN.
• Provide Windows Dashboard reporting metrics.
• Meet with customers on special projects.
• Meet timely deliverables

Experience Required:
2 Years Windows & Exchange 2003 Engineering experience Windows- W2K, W3K Server, VMWARE, SAN

Education Required:
BA in technical field.
Additional understanding on IBM Xseries technologies Windows - MCSE certifications for W2K, W3K, Exchange 2000/2003
