Title: Systems Engineer
Department: Hosted Services
Reports to: Director of Vertical Markets

Description
The Systems Engineer (SE) is primarily responsible for providing presales, implementation and post-sales support for Hosted Services. They help properly position the solution during presales initiatives; provide application development services to deploy the contracted services; and provide technical assistance to support the deployed hosted customer base. The SE's are responsible for achieving expertise across the Interactive Intelligence product line and providing configuration and customization services when required. The SE's must be able to travel approximately 25%.

Performance Objectives
Project assignments are performed within specifications (scope and labor) established by the business contract.
Provide accurate timesheet information on a weekly basis.
Provide programming services for application development and technology integration for assigned project engagements.
Provide consulting services to architect the prospect's infrastructure based upon current/future needs
Responsible for providing follow-up technical support on customer projects (24x7)
Provide implementation and support services to pilot customers to ensure a successful experience
Continue to meet/exceed customer delivery expectations.
Assist department personnel in preparing detailed proposals and detailed software documentation.
Provide business correspondence such as project implementation plans, trip reports, and weekly project status reports.
Responsible for disseminating technical and business opportunity information to department personnel.
Prerequisites/Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in a computer related field of study
Knowledge of Windows networking and SIP is required.
MCSE, MS Exchange, Interaction Center Administration are a plus.
Prior language experience with C++, VB, C# .NET, VB .NET is a plus
Excellent communication skills -- both written and oral
High degree of focus on customer satisfaction and quality orientation
Willingness to learn new technologies
Ability to work in a team to meet critical deadlines
Based at Indianapolis headquarters
Scope of Responsibility
Participate in full deployment of the hosted solution from Presales to Implementation to Support
Participate in scoping/needs analysis and consult with customers to understand application requirements, which will then be addressed through product configuration or customization.
Develop integration to third party products via defined software standards
Provide hands-on technical assistance to customers
Responsible for staying abreast of current technologies as well as industry trends for targeted markets.df-tc
