Our client is seeking an experienced and savvy Systems Engineer III. This position will be based in Rochester, NY. This position will require 50% travel. Position Details
The responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:
Cost and risk analysis
Proposal generation
System design using customer hardware and software specifications
System program management including direct customer interaction will be required during system design, build and verification phases.
Candidate performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include:
concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints.
Candidate performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Experience/Skills
BSEE/BSCE and 5+ years of experience or Masters Degree and 3 years of experience required.
Understanding of Radio communications infrastructure and systems are mandatory in this role.
Proficiency in IP and standard data communication protocols is required.


Experience Desired
Internet protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, and PPP
Computer communication interfaces such as RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485
Communications standards such as ATM, Frame Relay, and T1/E1
Quality of service (QoS) standards such as Diffserve
Internet security standards such as IPSec
Certification in network design (Cisco, Juniper)
MSCE Certification
This position requires U.S. citizenship for purposes of obtaining a clearance.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Compensation
95K - 120K
