Position Summary:

Experience: Zero to Five+ years in managed services network design, implementation and support.  

Education Level: Bachelors Degree

Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience and Fun Attitude + Bonus and Profit Sharing + Benefits

Our Managed Services Solutions Engineers:

  • Work with state of the art technologies from Microsoft, Sonicwall, Cisco, Symantec, Trend Micro and others.
  • Keep clients productive by designing the right solutions and ensuring uptime.
  • Keep clients protected using Disaster Recovery and Security tools.
  • Keep clients profitable by understanding the impact of technology on business.
  • Design and Implement Network Infrastructure solutions.
  • Troubleshoot Network Problems.
  • Set expectations with clients for diagnosis and resolution of problems.
  • Coordinate with small teams to accomplish work.

Candidates must have excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills. Candidates must be self-motivated, have the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously, and have a proven track record in customer service. 

Responsibilities:

  • Have Fun!
  • Monitor configurations and performance.
  • Utilize hardware and software tools to isolate, troubleshoot and repair network and system problems.
  • Coordinate system changes with support staff and customers to meet Service Level Agreements for our customers.
  • Implement solutions in the SlashBlue solution set of technologies.
  • Help develop standards and policies for servers, networks, and workstations within the SlashBlue technical solution set.
  • Contribute to defining and expanding SlashBlue solution set to meet customer demand.
  • Perform additional work to meet the demands of a growing Managed Services practice.

Experience/Skills

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to pay attention to details and be organized
  • Ability to project a professional image over the phone and in person
  • Have a working knowledge of network administration of servers, firewalls, switches, workstations and mobile devices
  • Familiarity with backup and restore methods and procedures
  • Working knowledge of Windows core, Operating Systems, and Active Directory Administration
  • Working knowledge of network protocols

 Desired:

  • Experience working on a technical help desk or equivalent experience in supporting a large customer base
  • Experience in software and hardware troubleshooting on latptops, desktops, servers and networking equipment
  • MCSE or other Certifications a plus
  • Working knowledge of firewalls such as Sonicwall, Watchguard, Cisco and others
  • Familiarity with databases and network management systems (Kaseya, AutoTask, ConnectWise, LPI, N-Able, SilverBack, MOM, HP OV etc…)
  • Cisco familiarity
  • Citrix familiarity
  • VOIP familiarity
