Description
This is an LMSSC Cape Canaveral position, which reports to the Flight Test Plans and Analysis Manager in Sunnyvale, CA. Coordinate the FBM Flight Test Planning effort at the Eastern Range. Develop, process and issue Operations Requirements (OR) documents, revisions and expedites for the Eastern Range and Pacific Range resources required in support of FBM flight tests. Function as the LMSSC Flight Test Planning representative to the Naval Ordnance Test Unit (NOTU), the 45th Space Wing, and NAVAIR Pt. Mugu. Prepare and maintain Range Data Control Lists, in the Universal Documentation System (UDS) format, to be utilized in the collection of FCET and DASO flight test data. Serve as the LMSSC Flight Test Planning POC responsible for the tracking, collection, inventory, invoicing and distribution of flight test data to the FBM community. Develop and issue Program Requirements Documents (PRD) and updates, Represent LMSSC Flight Test Planning at PRD, Range Support Plan Meetings, Operational System Reviews, and Flight Test Support Plan reviews.

Candidates must have the ability to execute tasks with a minimum of supervision. Candidates must have strong skills in developing and fostering effective communications with the Sunnyvale manager, peers, team members, associate contractors and customer personnel. Candidates must have good interpersonal, technical writing, and effective presentation skills.



Required Experience:

6 Years Engineering Experience.

4 Years of Missile Flight Test Planning experience.



Desired Experience:

6 Years of Flight Test Planning and Range Documentation experience.

Familiarity with telemetry, radar and optical test instrumentation systems.

Universal Documentation System experience.





General Position Description
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Typical Minimum Education
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.
