Description
Candidate must have systems engineering, integration and test experience with Air Traffic Control and possess detailed knowledge of today's Air Traffic Control System, having extensive Host, NAS, PAMRI, EDARC, URET or DSR experience either working with the FAA or as an independent consultant with hands on experience as a designer, programmer or system integrator/tester for large scale system tests, e.g., hardware, failure recovery, performance, stability. Experience required in performing requirements analysis, success criteria generation, and test plan/procedures, integration, test execution and post test data analysis with specific knowledge and experience with laboratory configurations at WJHTC. The position requires effective problem analysis and resolution, ability to plan, track and complete tasks within schedule and cost constraints and skills necessary to review, interpret and prepare engineering documentation. Candidate must possess strong oral, written and presentation skills, lead functional test area, provide test architecture support, be able to work effectively within a team environment, and interface with contractors and the FAA customer. Travel to customer sites is required.

General Position Description
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Typical Minimum Education
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
