Description
Understanding of Large Satellite systems development processes. Provide factory support for satellite system integration and test. Review data and determine system acceptability. Develop readiness plans. Apply knowledge of full life cycle to the satellite system early development phase to assure elements will meet the system requirements. Knowledge of Remote sensing systems, Digital imagery processing,and or satellite command and control systems desirable. Needs to be effective in a multicontractor environment dedicated to mission success.

General Position Description
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Typical Minimum Education
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
