Systems Engineer

We are a high technology corporation providing products and services to government and commercial organizations, providing Telecommunications Systems Engineering and Integration support and specializing in Design, Installation, Operation Maintenance and Project Management.

Responsibilities:

* Assist in overseeing the design, security, and management of Windows Vista and XP, and Windows 2000 PCs in a large enterprise.
* Create Standard loads based on Windows OS platforms and integrate security, application and management features.
* Develop and administer enterprise-wide deployment servers.
* Provide 3rd level support to the Help Desk and Local Support staff.
* Complete technical projects to help meet strategic business goals, client requirements and service levels.
* Accountable to research, design, plan, and implement new technologies into current operating environment.
* Test and evaluate future technologies to support and maintain server/services and application infrastructure to support business requirements including but not limiting to Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista.

Requirements:

* Candidate must be knowledgeable about Scripting and developing automated software installs, desktop imaging, PC technology, security and anti-malware, networking, and Microsoft server products.
* Experience in a large environment supporting and migrating from Windows 2000 to XP and XP to Vista.
* Experience with any of the following is desired: Microsoft SCCM, Windows Server 2008, NetIQ, Windows Scripting Host, Unix, Active Directory Service Interface and
Windows Management Instrumentation, IEAK, Marimba, McAfee.
* Experienced working with operational support, security, Help desk and enterprise management support personnel.
* Must have experience with Windows Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange 5.5 & 2003 in a large Enterprise.
* Candidates should have experience supporting Servers in both Windows & UNIX
environments.
* Technical or project management experience desired.
* Experience in five or more of the following: Windows Desktop XP/2000 & Vista, UNIX (Solaris), WinPE, Linux, Active Directory/GPO, Citrix, Windows Scripting, SCCM.
* Must be a highly motivated, team-oriented individual, able to work effectively under pressure with vendors, clients and other teams.
* Good communication both oral and written.
* Ability to work extended hours, 24x7 (as required), shift work and additional
