Systems Engineer - Tech Support- IT - Sales Support

If you are a 3+ years Systems Engineer with Sales Support, please read on!

Located in New York, we are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Systems Engineer with 3+ years of related experience supporting our Sales Team. If this sounds like you, please read on.

What you need for this position:

-3+ years of previous professional services, pre-sales, and/or technical consulting experience
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or IT related discipline
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP, SSL and underlying protocol concepts.

Must have hands-on experience with the following:
- Installing and configuring infrastructure and/or application software in a wide range of complex small, medium, and enterprise environments.
- Multiple operating systems, including: Microsoft Windows, Linux/Unix, and IBM z/OS. OS400 experience also a plus
-Two (2) or more of the following application servers: Apache Tomcat, Websphere, JBOSS, and Weblogic.
- Two (2) or more of the following database systems: MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle and DB2.
- FTP configuration and troubleshooting

Higher consideration is given if you have additional experience with the following:
- Active Directory and another LDAP such as Sun Directory Server, IBM or Novell
- SFTP, SSH, FTP/s, AS/2 is highly desirable. Other managed file transfer product experience (Connect:Direct, SSH, Tumbleweed, GlobalScape, Acellion, etc.)
- Firewall configuration and troubleshooting is highly desirable.
- Encryption standards (DES, 3DES, PGP, etc.) and underlying concepts


What you'll be doing:
- 25% travel is required.
- Being involved in all aspects of the selling cycle by providing technical support from pre-sale to post-sale process.
