Job Description:
An Environment Built for Engineers:
We are currently looking for Virtualization Engineers/Consultants with a minimum of 3-5 years experience in the field consulting, designing, and implementing VMware solutions. We have positions open in New England and New York City (and the surrounding areas).

The successful candidate will need an in-depth understanding of VMware, Microsoft, Networking, and SAN infrastructure from both a design and engineering perspective. You'll be responsible for implementation of virtualization products and systems that support virtualization, including all server hardware, networking, and operating systems including Microsoft and Linux. While conducting implementations, you'll also be responsible for performing knowledge transfer to customers and looking for additional opportunities to help improve their environment.

Share Strategies across Technology Disciplines:
Work within our engineering team and engage with experts across all technology competencies: applications, data management, IT & business management, and network & infrastructure competencies. Work closely with a team of talented, highly accredited, certified virtualization experts who help organizations assess, plan, test, build, manage, and maintain best-of-breed virtualized environments.

Essential Duties Include:
Assess & Consult
* Perform needs analysis, information gathering on client expectations and technical baselines for writing or technical review of Statements of Work.
* Assist Project Managers in writing the scope of work and technical assumptions of the Statements of Work or if performed by a provider confirm these two aspects.

Plan & Build
* Perform consultation, implementation, documentation, and knowledge transfer for billable engagements
* Provide technical reviews and reviews of both existing and potential manufacturers for their technical competency

Manage & Maintain
* Stay up to date on emerging technologies and products, including attaining certifications and participation in industry events as appropriate
* Work with the Professional Services organization to maintain both company and department goals

Minimum Qualifications:
* MCSE 2003, VMWare VCP certified
* Excellent technical writing skills for pre-sales work and project documentation
* Ability to communicate and present to multiple levels within our clients
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize
* Ability to interface with sales, other support departments and service providers

Must have the ability to travel extensively - the majority of travel is within the New England area.
