Description
Robert Half Technology has partnered with a growing firm in Raleigh in need of a Mid-level Network/Windows Administrator. This Network Administrator will be responsible for providing technical expertise as well as required maintenance, installation, support and problem resolution.

The Network Administrator's major responsibilities will be to perform maintenance of infrastructure systems. A summary of basic duties and requirements follows:
  • Recurring operations and support of Network, NAS, and Windows Infrastructure.
  • Daily maintenance of the enterprise backup system.
  • Support for Windows Server 2003 and Desktop environments.
  • Excellent Communication Skills, Written and Verbal, good interpersonal skills
  • Self Starter and Independent worker - keen attention to detail
  • Utilize Microsoft Best Practices for all Hardware and Software Implementations
  • Maintain current documentation on all network infrastructure using Visio, HTML and .doc formats
  • Maintain in house VPN and E-mail connections.

Technical Skills:
  • LAN/WAN
  • Configuration and monitoring of Layer 2 and Layer 3 devices
  • TCP/IP, DNS, VLAN, Firewall, VPN, IDS/IPS
  • Network security concepts, technologies and exploits
  • Network Appliance or relevant NAS/SAN, ISCSI experience
  • Enterprise Backup (Networker or NetBackup)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2003, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange 2003 -2007, Citrix Metaframe, Microsoft Management tools
