PETCO has an opportunity for a Systems Implementation Administrator to assist the Manager of Systems Implementation with the coordination and installation of both new store systems as well as rolling out upgrades to existing systems. Will help maintain control of hardware differences for store systems. Will also assist in coordination of IS issues related to the conversion of acquisitions such as system security, hardware, and database conversion.

Duties and Responsibilities:

•Configure both hardware and operating systems.

•Schedule, coordinate, communicate and implement system rollouts, working closely with outside vendors and all levels of PETCO employees and management.

•Act as the technical IS resource for store system conversions of acquisition companies.

•Provide technical training for the IS staff on in-store systems.

•Maintain open communications with multiple departments as necessary on various projects, system upgrades, and rollouts.

Education/Experience

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and additional college or technical school courses in computer science, or related experience are required. A two-year college degree, trade school, or certification is preferred. Technical experience with Microsoft Operating Systems and software such as Server 2000, 2003, and XP is strongly preferred. Project Manager experience is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required as is the ability to work cross-departmentally to organize and prioritize projects. Technical familiarity with Microsoft office products is necessary.
