Description

The Integration Engineer expedites the integration of hardware and software components into specialized products and systems for test & measurement and related data acquisition applications.  The selected candidate will bring the components together to produce the desired result and satisfy the customers’ needs.

Roles & Responsibilities

 

·         Integrate both commercial and custom-built hardware and software components to produce specialized systems that are fully compliant with the customers’ specified requirements.

·         Make well thought out decisions on complex or ambiguous architecture and software design issues.

·         Identify and track issues found during integration.

·         Work closely with the development team members throughout all phases of the development process to resolve issues quickly and accurately.

·         Analyze the root cause of problems found during integration, identifying the failure modes of impacted hardware and software components.

·         Generate configuration scripts and modify default hardware and software component configurations to tailor systems as needed.

·         Generate build instructions for manufacturing specialized systems, and document the as-built configuration of it.

 



Experience/Skills

Qualifications

 

  • BSEE degree and at least 3 years relevant and successful system integration experience.
  • C/C++, C# development experience desirable.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and desire for learning new technologies.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, self-motivation, a sense of urgency, sensitivity to deadlines, and a detail-oriented style required.
  • Must have the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and to proactively anticipate and manage situations that have a direct impact to the productivity of our customers.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and stimulate a good attitude in others.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to sustain long work hours when necessary.
  • Good understanding and use of lab equipment, including signal generators, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
