Description:
Serve as a member of the Storage Management Group with the responsibility to design, implement and support the storage infrastructure, both Open Systems and Main Frame.

This position must be acquainted with the design and functionality of disk and tape subsystems, including: mainframe disk and tape subsystems, Storage Area Networks, and Network Attached Storage.

The primary responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following; Monitoring disk space Monitoring tape usage and availability.

Support CA-1’s TMS software and ASG’s ZARA for tape catalog management.

Working with Business partners to provide disk space and tape resources.

Planning outages to upgrade firmware/microcode to disk and tape devices.

Installing mainframe software products for tape and DASD Supporting EMC hardware and software storage products.

Capacity planning for both tape and disk resources.
Evaluating new tape and disk technology.
Documenting configurations of installations.
Installation and troubleshooting of Storage Area Networks EMC FICON.
