Description
** No phone calls or third party candidates please. ** Manpower Professional has a client in the RTP in need of 3 Telecom Systems Programmers. These positions are primarily responsible for making systems level changes to an existing line of telecom products. This will largely revolve around working with Field Engineers in support of external clients in pre/post sales roles. As the Field Engineers bring back change requests or advanced problems from the client, the Systems Programmers will come up with solutions and implement the necessary changes to the product. This will also require some direct work with the external clients, who are primarily large R&D telecom firms and service providers. The programming will not be end-to-end new application development, but will require the individual to produce advanced patches, fixes, new features, performed SW validation, etc. Candidates must meet the following requirements: 4+ years of professional telecom experience with excellent C/C++ programming skills Strong UNIX systems programming background (level 3, 4, 5) Strong background in 3G (2G and 2.5G a plus) Additional wireless experience with CDMA, IUB, and GPRS Excellent knowledge of SS7 and H.323 Ability to publish web based FAQ's Excellent problem solving skills and customer service/communications are a must.
