Job Opening: Systems Programmer

Job Summary:
C&S is in seeking a highly motivated individual for a Systems Programmer position. The successful candidate will be responsible for both warehouse hardware support and system software running in an IBM Sysplex environment. This individual must be able to work independently as well as with team members and a broad spectrum of warehouse personnel.

Job Responsibilities:
-3270 terminal technology, keyboards, monitors, and coax connectivity.
-3174 communication controller installation, problem determination, and configuration.
-Installation, problem determination, and configuration of warehouse printers including IBM models 6400, 6500, 6262,4224, 4230, 4247, and Printronix models 5306 and 3306. Laser printers will include IBM, HP, Xerox, and Kyocera. Printer environment will be both coax and Ethernet.
-Ordering new printers and replacement parts.
-Testing and tuning of both printers and print programs.
-Ordering, testing, and installation of 3270 equipment.
-Primary technical contact for remote warehouse technicians.
-Basic networking knowledge of both mainframe and server environments.
-Install, configure, and support multiple session manager software.
-Install, configure, and support mainframe print software.
-Administration of CICS printers, programs, and data files in a large scale environment.
-Monitoring and problem determination in a mainframe environment.
-Provide 24/7 support coverage in an on-call rotation.

Job Requirements:
-Knowledge of mainframe security.
-Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Must have a minimum 3 years mainframe experience with CICS, RACF, and VPS.
-Knowledge of printers and print systems is crucial.
-Bachelor's degree a plus, but not required.
