PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The position provides user access control to TRP applications as a first line of defense against the compromise of all forms of corporate sensitive data world-wide. The position maintains system security layers in compliance with established security policy and procedures.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

*Maintains user access control for all enterprise IDs. Performs identity management at the Operating system, data base and application layer as required. Examine each request for compliance with Industry Security Standards, Audit Based Security Control Procedures, Corporate Security Best Practices, Vendor security documentation, and specialized version information specific to each operating system, database, or application. Analyst is responsible for communicating operator request analysis outcome to the user and their manager, as well as the Customer Support Group Team Leader.

*Manages customer concerns regarding access problems with efficiency and accuracy. Tasks include but are not limited to: use of situation dependent techniques to establish quick rapport with the customer, friendly but firm direction of the exchange to the requirements and underlying dependencies of the issue, independent analysis to separate access control problems from password problems and user training issues, and decision making to select a course of action to resolve user issue. Responsible for independently completing all tasks relative to the request, setting user expectations, directing coordination with then Help Desk to maintain ticket status, and attaching any specialty security personnel to complete additional tasks, as needed. Analyst will keep cognizance of all open issues and maintain coordination of each event until a positive conclusion is reached. Analyst is responsible for reporting closed status with user and Help Desk and detaching any specialty security assistance.

*Works with Technical Support, Applications Management, System Managers, Application and Data Owners to analyze access control requirements and create access definitions tailored to those business requirements or to resolve access control problems. Independently analyzes details for relevance unique to system and application IDs, operating system, application, and database specific security rules, limitations, policies and procedures and decides a course of action to meet the requirements. Initiates action to execute security tasks and coordinates any specialty support, as needed. Coordinates with all stake holders until a positive resolution has been achieved.

*Decides if any specific request could have a detrimental system impact beyond the sphere of a single access request. Assembles any specialty security assets and assesses the concern. Decides if action is needed and then directs the rejection of the request or works with the requestor to modify the request to remove the system risk or mitigate it to an acceptable risk level.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

*College degree and one year of related work experience, or a minimum of 5 years related work experience
*Possesses an in-depth knowledge of security operations at the Operating System, Application, Data Base, and File System levels.
*Effective documentation and organization skills
*Possess a moderate understanding of data processing concepts on multiple platforms

Preferred Qualifications

*One year prior experience in direct customer support
*Two years experience in security or identity management in Windows and another platform like Unix or the mainframe
*Prior Information Security experience with application management.
*One year of any kind of shell or batch scripting, VBA, JSP, etc.
*Working familiarity with database concepts and SQLdf-tc
