***THIS IS A 2PM-11PM SHIFT-MUST BE FLUENT IN SPANISH.

Working under the guidance of a Senior Systems Support Analyst, this position will provide primarily end user support, but also minimal systems validation and support document production assistance, for IVR or other systems produced within the IVRS Department, as assigned. Support responsibilities for the position include database maintenance and ad hoc report writing, user support for study sites, and manual backup to IVR systems during unexpected unavailability. Systems Designers and Developers will provide specific guidance and reference for the Systems Support Analysts regarding the studies they manage, to enable the Systems Support Analysts to properly complete their required tasks.

The position is one of approximately fifty current developer/designer/validation/support positions within the IVRS Department.

While no direct financial measures are applicable, this position does serve as a designer of software systems that support Phase I through IV projects within the IVRS Department. The systems development and deployment components of these projects range in contract value from $30,000 to $1,000,000 in direct costs

Education and Experience:

BA/BS with 2+ years of experience with database management and/or computer systems user support; or, Associate Degree in Computer Science or related field with 4 + years of experience with database management and/or computer systems user support, or comparable professional experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

-Training and experience in database management (MS Access and/or Oracle preferred).
-General knowledge of GCPs and the conduct of clinical trials.
-Understanding of the clinical research process flow and drug development processes.
-Understanding of software development and testing processes.
-Demonstrated proficiency in office productivity applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
-Good written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to prioritize tasks effectively.
-Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
-Ability to learn new systems without formal training.
Education and Experience:

BA/BS in Information Systems with experience providing support to clinical trials

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

-Proficiency in database management tools (e.g., Oracle, MS Access).
-Demonstrated knowledge of GCPs and other guidelines/regulations, including international regulations regarding the conduct of clinical trials.
-Ability to develop support materials and presentations for studies and train other support staff as required.
-Understanding of relational database concepts.
-Ability to review support documentation for completeness and guide correction of any deficiencies.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Primary Accountabilities:

Act as the primary support for end users of IVR systems. Responds to inquiries from end users (study sites) of IVR systems. Typically diagnosing problems includes checking database, determining if lab values are out of range for the study, walking end-users through the process, etc. (There are over 50 different IVR systems operating). Responses must be real time and specific to the study site and delivered with a high level of service. May make changes to the data base and the randomization tables, as appropriate.
Maintains thorough and complete documentation of support calls and of any data base change requests.
Attends study â??hand offâ?? meetings. Gains thorough understanding of each studys IVR system, as well as a thorough understanding of the study and its process flows. This includes understanding how patients will be enrolled, the randomization process for sending out drug kits, how visits will be tracked, how patients are discontinued, how to â??unblindâ?? patients, how inventories are maintained, and how diary systems will be produced.
Review training materials and system support guidelines and train users and support staff as needed.
Develop system tests, data loading documentation and report validation documentation.
