Major Position Responsibilities:

Systems Technician Manager, is a senior-level professional, a seasoned individual producer and/or working task
leader who applies a comprehensive and in-depth working knowledge of technical services, policies, practices,
processes and procedures to the most complex range of assignments. Incumbent manages the activities and
personnel of the support center. Ensures the operation is in accordance with the established procedures and
practices. The manager monitors performance of support personnel, reviewing response times, problem logs and
trends in problems reported. Errors at this level can cause significant delay, expense and/or disruption to the
organization. Position involves frequent, regular interaction with all levels of ACS' operations/project
management and staff.

  • Manages the activities and personnel associated with providing technical services to internal and external customers.
  • Identifies, prioritizes and confirms resolution of reported problems with desktop, laptop and networked systems.
  • Ensures all phases of desktop support including installations, upgrades, software, hardware, operating systems and
    operating systems configuration issues are properly coordinated, monitored and resolved.
  • Develops information technology projects and provides strategic management and objectives for the department.
  • Provides task leadership to assigned staff and coordinate related on-site activities such as client and ACS' interface,
    parts and equipment orders and inventories.


    Detailed daily activities and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Plans and implements service strategies for area under his/her supervision
  • Provides direction to Site Supervisors
  • Ensures the adherence to maintenance contracts
    o knowledgeable of maintenance contract
    o calculate and submit contract escalations
    o participate in contract renewals
    o responsible for all contractual billings
    o responsible for all out-of-scope billings
    o analyses monthly report submittals
    o maintains maintenance data (i.e. downtime, average downtime, response times, repair times, etc.) and prepares presentation quality reports
  • Manages and co-ordinates administrative activities of subordinates
    o Time sheets
    o Expense reports
    o Packing Lists
    o Vacation Request
    o Gas credit cards
    o Long Distance calls
  • Plans and arranges training schedules for Site Supervisors and new technicians
  • Ensures the availability of service tools. (vehicles, tools, test equip. etc.)
  • Maintains high level communication with Airport customer Officials
    o Regularly meets with Customer ensure customer satisfaction
    o Monthly Reporting
    o Weekly, Monthly meetings
    o Written correspondence
  • Key service liaison between Home Office and Regional Office
  • Responsible for billing accuracies
    o responsible for all billings; monthly, out-of-scope, parts, hourly
    o responsible to track outstanding payments
    o responsible for escalation to billable items.
  • Verification of subcontractor / vendor
  • Develops and submits service proposals
  • Reports regional activities to Vice President
    o Monthly Financial Reporting
    o Outstanding Payments
    o Outstanding Issues List
    o Monthly Site Report
  • Purchasing of office/shop supplies, parts, etc.
  • Central system updates
  • Responsible for adherence to all ACS Safety and Physical Security policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for adherence to all ACS ISO 2000 policies and procedures
  • Responsible for adherence to all applicable OSHA regulations.df-tc
