Description
Design, Develop and Execute test plans covering multi-OSI layer applications; multi-DUT interoperable system test cases. Test cases will also include Functional, Scalability, Performance and Characterization coverage. System Test Engineer will be performing both manual and automated tests as well as adding to the automation library release over release. Communication skills are also critical as the engineer will need to work closely with Product Marketing to help define test needs and with Developers to assist in debugging and problem recreation.

Requirements:

o Overall 7+ years industry experience with proven working knowledge in Ethernet, POS, ATM, PPP, HDLC and MPLS. o Must have in-depth working knowledge of various QA test methodologies and product development life cycles processes. o Strong verbal and written communication skills o Very strong bug isolation, bug report writing, troubleshooting skills. o Highly organized and possess a keen analytical and structured approach to problem solving and testing. o Must be self-managing, able to juggle multiple competing priorities and dead lines. o Familiar with traffic/protocol emulation tools as well as sniffer products. o Hands on Experience on testing different layer 2-7 technologies ranging from subscriber access, to routing, load balancing, security and general IP forwarding in IPv4 and IPv6 networks. o Strong knowledge on test case automation experience using TCL/Tk, Expect, Perl, Unix/Linux etc. o Experience on configuration of different routing protocols, firewalls, ACL?s, access and tunneling protocols on Cisco, Juniper and other Vendors routers. o Bachelors of Science in Computer Networking.df-tc
