CDI has an exciting opportunity waiting for you! We are looking for exceptional people! We have an immediate need for Tech Writers.

CDI Government Service has open requirements for TECH WRITERS on a long term assignment on the Baltimore area. Excellent compensation and paid time off are available.

Job Description:

Candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering technical data, including operations, system administration, and user materials in S1000D format, which is the new standard for civil and military aviation.

Duties include researching data, interpreting engineering information, writing equipment descriptions, and theory of operations, creating maintenance procedures, editing materials, incorporating changes, conducting customer reviews and validations, and making customer deliveries. This position may also require some development of training materials. Occasional, short term travel may be required.

Requirements:

Ability to support the creation of technical materials in Microsoft Office products, as well as digital SGML/XML manuals.
Must be detail-oriented self-starter willing to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment are important.
Minimum 8 years experience writing on technical platforms
EE or BS in technical field required.
TS/SCI clearance required.



PLUS if you have any of the following:

Experience with Arbortext Epic Editor
IETM (Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals )development or Military Tech Manual Development experience.

CDI will conduct background investigations and pre-employment drug screening for this positiondf-tc
