The McGraw-Hill Companies is one of the world's leading providers of information services and publishers of educational, business and professional information We are seeking an experienced  TM1 Developer to join our team in Hightstown, NJ to support several initiatives in the Corporate Finance IT group. The position will include a key role in planning and implementing projects and enhancing solutions to meet our strategic initiatives as well as provide support for day-to-day business needs. Translate Business Requirements to functional designs. Write functional designs and review technical designs from programming team.    Design and develop repeatable solutions by leveraging common technology   Evaluate technical changes required to accommodate future requirements / changes in business process.   Develop/articulate detailed documentation of internal client requirements and processes   Able to handle defect tracking process, issue resolution and escalation procedures.   Experience developing TM1TurboIntegrator processes; building TM1 dimensions and cubes Provide second level TM1 support to end users. Perform administrative tasks Perform data configuration tasks in TM1. Monitor and resolve technical issues related to interfaces between TM1 and various McGraw-Hill systems and ensure data accuracy. Manage and control TM1 application upgrades and system maintenance processes. Ability to document TM1 components developed in accordance with SDLC standards. Demonstrate an outstanding work ethic and a sense of urgency to resolve issues quickly and efficiently. Demonstrate a high sense of responsibility to our customers, our users, our colleagues, and to the quality and timeliness of one's own work; a willingness and desire to do what it takes to support our company's systems sometimes during non-standard work hours. Display a positive and constructive attitude.   Strong skills in critical thinking and analysis, meeting facilitation, verbal and written communications, and interpersonal interactions (e.g., partnering, conflict management, consulting, etc.) Experience with Analysis/Design Methods. Hands-on programming experience with computer languages such as SQL (i.e. queries & scripts), Unix (shell scripts), Java. Exposure to tools such as Maestro, HP Quality Center, SubVersion. Experience as a liaison between the users and the development team, able to effectively speak in a non-technical manner to the users and in a technical manner to the development team Experience developing use cases in a fast-paced dynamic environment Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree and minimum five years of job-related experience. A minimum of 2 years experience with TM1. Solid general technology knowledge and experience, and the ability to recognize and translate business problems into technology-based solutions. Experience working with a software development lifecycle methodology. Excellent communication, writing, facilitation, negotiation, collaboration and interpersonal skills Experience with Lawson ERP helpful but not required. Experience with other IBM Cognos tools (such as Cognos8 Business Intelligence) is a plus. Strong analytical, problem solving, and debugging skills This position will face multiple issues associated with the introduction and implementation of business analysis and requirements management. There always be challenges with regard to timelines; criticality of issues; pressure from business, Relationship Leaders, and Project Managers in favor of a swift implementation at the expense of quality or requirements.df-tc
