Tech Lead - Java

• Enhance problem solving skills in a highly complex technical environment
• Be involved in development of new technologies/applications to provide our customers with the interface to upload payment transactions using NextGen FileDelivery channel. Opportunity to work on a service-oriented architecture (SOA) platform and use new technologies like Abinitio, ComputeGrid and Tibco
• Taking high quality decisions under time pressure
• Working together with multiple support groups for release of new software and in resolving technical issues
• Lead a group of developers both onsite and offshore

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Candidate will be responsible for all development and post-development phases of systems development including: analysis and design, development, testing and deployment.
• The candidate will be expected to undertake complex technical development and leverage resources from within and outside the team to complete critical tasks.
• Candidate will be responsible for leading all requirements, development and post-development phases of systems development including: analysis and design, development, testing and deployment.
• Candidate will be expected to provide development sizing and estimation and support requirements gathering. Daily production support and some weekend support will be expected of the candidate as well.
• Work with technical and business support teams to triage issues reported by EB users.
• Determine the root cause of issues.
• Support customer review forums held by the usability team through prototype review and functional requirement walkthroughs.
• Lead a team of developers both onsite and offshore and co-ordinate all development work in a timely manner

KEY CHALLENGES (WHAT IS THE WORK/MARKET ENVIRONMENT)

• Learning and retaining a broad range of customer and technical information.
• Work on various projects in different phases of the SDLC
• Work with the regional implementation, support, and local technology teams around the world
• Manage day-to-day customer deliverables, as well as quality, process
• Monitor and record progress against deliverables on a daily basis

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Candidates must have a minimum of 15 years experience with distributed environment technology (Unix and NT based)
• MANDATORY Programming Skills: ( Java, SQL, .NET, Web Services, J2EE, HTML JavaScript, XML)
• Only the knowledge of TIBCO and Abinitio as a plus.
• Candidates will be responsible for the full SDLC of a project.

NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Understanding of one or more of the following business processes, securities lending, cash management, cash reporting is a plus.
• Ability to bridge business needs and technology development
• Ability to understand and resolve both functional and technical customer issues across a wide array of products and technologies
• Ability to translate client deliverables into detailed plans.
• Ability to multi-task and self prioritize day-to-day activities.
• Problem Analysis skills.
• Strong Organization/Follow-up Skills
