Description
Our client in Ogden is seeking candidates with the following skills for a 6 month contract-to-hire engagement supporting their Juniper network.Requirements include:· BSEE/CS and 2+ years experience with IP networks. · Strong knowledge of the IP protocol and related protocols (TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, IPSec, etc) · Ability to capture and interpret packet traces. · Experience with web enabling technologies: HTTP, HTTPS, Java, JavaScript, HTML, Active-X, and Flash. · Understanding of authentication schemes (Active Directory, NTLM, NIS) · Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows (XP, 2000, 98, NT) · Working knowledge of Solaris, Linux and Unix. · Experience with Cisco IOS · Understanding of network design concepts and protocols such as RIP, OSPF, BGP, High Availability, VPN, Firewall Security, SNMP, Syslog · Good working knowledge of Windows Networking and Microsoft Exchange · Experience with Microsoft IE browser behavior, configuration and settings · Strong understanding of management systems such as HP Openview or other network management systems · Ability to be able to analyze sniffer traces in order to resolve technical issues · Strong understanding of High Availability concepts such as NSRP or HSRP · Strong understanding of VLAN and switching fabric concepts · BSEE/CS and 2+ years experience with IP Networks
