Looking for a highly organized, self-motivated person who can find strategic, quality, innovative solutions to technology contracting situations by using their negotiation skills and leveraging their marketplace knowledge to craft not only the best deal for Humana but to also maintain healthy vendor relationships. The person must have the technical and legal knowledge to mitigate risks, the financial analysis skills to analyze the "deal", and the negotiation, drafting and communication skills to complete the contractual process from start to finish. You'll need to be able to successfully juggle multiple tasks/projects on an on-going basis.

The selected candidate will be part of a team high tech contracting professionals. Situation specific negotiation skills are an absolute must. Extensive contract experience is essential since our team drives the contract creation and negotiation process. The person will work closely with the business, technology, and legal teams within Humana to plan, develop and negotiate solutions to often complex contractual deals on the following:

  • Software licenses, maintenance and support agreements (all technical platforms)
  • Volume purchasing agreements
  • Software development, business consulting, and other services agreements
  • Statements of work
  • Global sourcing agreements
  • Major technology capital purchases
  • Leases
  • Hardware maintenance and support agreements
  • Internet content and Application Service Provider agreements
  • Telecom (voice & data) agreements

    Required:
  • 3-5 years of relevant IT experience with multiple technical platforms
  • Resourceful, perceptive, innovative, trustworthy, driven for excellence, team player
  • Proven skills to manage the contractual drafting / redlining / negotiation process from inception
  • Basic accounting / financial analysis comprehension / skills

    Desired:
  • Project management certification is a plus
  • Juris doctorate degree is a plus
  • Strong track record of reducing costs through your personal involvementdf-tc
