Technical Analyst - Sales Operations

OBJECTIVE:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the growing Sales Operations team within Solectron. This role supports and assists in developing and delivering transformation costs assessments, while meeting Solectron's internal and Customer objectives. Delivers accurate technical assessment, and works with team to complete on time bid responses that provide the most compelling value vs. the client request. Must be able to work effectively across multiple functional groups within Solectron.

RESPONSIBLITIES:
*Ownership for all transformation and technical requirements review and simulation modeling in the standard cost model.
* Key knowledge owner for use and modification of the standard cost model.
* Act as subject matter expert for the PCBA or Systems technical requirements.
* Key interface for all transformation related issues.
* Ability to assess the technical requirements as well as communicate cross-functionally to simulate optimal scenarios for Solectron and customer.
* Participate in unsolicited bid preparation, as required.
* Act an interface to the operations sites to validate cost assumptions.
* Participate in quote review meetings and quote preparation meetings.
* Able to perform site-to-site transfer analysis with the cost model.
* Work closely with sales to customize the proposal to the needs of each client and meeting client-imposed deadlines.
* Identify customization and use of "boilerplate" materials for proposals.
* Performs technical analysis oo RFQs, etc to determine site locations for manufacturing and Services processes.
* Manages technical interface with target sites.
* Coordinates with Site management in evaluation of "Best Fit" to meet customer/prospect requirements.
* Work with cross-functioning teams, such as HR, Finance, Sales, and IT, to complete the response.
* Schedules all technical bid reviews.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
* At least 7 years experience.
* Engineering background ideal with understand of program management and materials.
* Experience with manufacturing and services processes and value propositions.
* Analytical skills to understand the inter-relationship between the quote assumptions and the cost results, as well as determine if the results are appropriate or if additional information/quote modifications are required to complete a sound cost basis.
* Excellent business writing skills and organizational skills needed.
* Ability to meet deadlines; project management experience a plus.
* Must work well both independently and as part of a team.df-tc
