A Global Financial Institution located inNew York, NYhas an immediate Full Time opening for a Technical Business Analyst

Job Description:
This position is for a Technical Business Analyst working in Documentation team in the Enterprise Data Group. The team is responsible for maintaining a suite of applications geared towards storage, retrieval and management of client documentation. The documents are managed to ensure risk management and to satisfy legal and regulatory needs for the firm. The application implements the following using Java, ++, #, Sybase, and Shell utilities.

Responsibilities of the successful candidate will include, but not be limited to:
Gathering and prioritizing product and client requirements
Co-ordinating user acceptance testing.
Co-ordinating with other product domain for projects with multiple stake holders.
Creating functional requirement document for the system based on broader business requirements.
Provide support for issues and questions regarding system behavior.
Provide assistance in creating use cases, test data and system turnover validations.
Provide assistance in Quality assurance process.
Provide assistance in system management (user validation and maintenance), static data management and creation.
Work closely with support & communication teams to ensure client satisfaction goals are met whilst ensuring that the product overall strategy and goals are kept inline.

Skills Required:
Must have prior experience in working with risk based documentation systems
Experience in understanding of regulatory and compliance programs and/or procedures
Experience with Microsoft office products Excel, project plan, Word and other documentation tools (SharePoint)
Experience in using data query tools eg: MS Access, DB Artesian, Crystal Reports and/or Business Objects.
Experience or Knowledge around using testing tools Eg: quality center
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent teamwork skills with proven ability to influence cross-functional teams
Excellent attention to detail, including minute taking skills
Highly organized & committed (especially to tracking & actioning follow ups)
Analytical expertise in understanding complex issues and their consequences
Ability to work pro-actively and independently on tasks allocated

Skills Desired:
A level of technical understanding from prior experience in an IT environment preferreddf-tc
